Who Can Enter?
Entrants to this category will be considered in the following three subcategories:
- INDEPENDENT FORECOURT
- COMPANY-OWNED FORECOURT
- MULTIPLE FORECOURT – 10 stores or more
Entry Criteria
All entrants need to provide documentation (including colour photography) of the following, for the year to 1 April 2012:
- Customer service achievements
- Investment in staff training and motivation
- Partnerships forged with suppliers to improve range
- Insights made to ensure the right services are on offer, particularly in impulse
- Improvements made to the business in the last 12 months, differentiating it from the competition
- Key challenges facing the forecourt business and steps taken to address them
- Characteristics of your customers and steps taken to attract new, loyal customers
- Details of the company’s year-on-year financial performance
- Evidence of collaboration with suppliers and benefits of this collaboration
- Examples of how your retail proposition is effectively offered
- Split, in percentage or value terms, between non-petrol and petrol sales, and year-on-year change
- Additional retail services offered
- What you have done to ensure you have the optimum confectionery range for your store
- How you drive impulse sales of confectionery in your store
